Q: „Are there any special places where you go in order to think of ideas?“

A: „To connect to this inner place from where the ideas are popping up I can be in the middle of a crowd or alone, quiet with myself. It ́s like a kind of concentration-a sharp mind suddenly pops up and the idea is there. A kind of puzzle is getting together. Emotion, smell, thoughts, actions. It ́s like a good cocktail of everything. I stop searching for something and devote myself to non- expectation.

Q: „If there’s anything you could change in the world through your work, what would it be?“

A: „I profoundly believe that all art is connected to intimacy- art is personal. Therefore we all do perceive art in a unique way. A “good art work” makes you feel deeply connected and can transform a moment or even your whole life. Art can change who and what we are. If this happens it feels like magic. For me art is revolutionary / revolution of the self.“

Q: „Artists often talk about how to discover a style. Do we chase after it? Does it somehow find us? How do you figure out what it is, that’s different from everyone else?”

A: „Searching for style is nothing I think about.
I just work and follow that urge which comes by doing what I have to do. I think that most artists have that seek for freedom. For me freedom needs no classification of style.
I know that the art market likes to have a definition about my art work, my style. But I don’t want to lose time fitting into something that I ́m not. No interest on my side in this. If you are authentic- you are “pure style”.“
